Are used golf balls good?
Yes. A used golf ball in good condition performs virtually like a new one. It is the same ball with the same construction; the only difference is that it has had a previous owner. At Plikt Golf, you save up to 55% compared to the new price: a 12-pack of Titleist Pro V1 costs SEK 319 in B/C grade, compared to SEK 649 for new ones.
Do used golf balls perform as well as new ones?
Most golfers notice no difference. Many of the balls we collect have only been hit a few times. What affects performance is damage to the cover, not that the ball has been used, and therefore we sort out all balls with cracks or nicks before they are sold. Modern golf balls also have a solid core and barely absorb any water. Read more in How long does a golf ball last in water?
How we sort the balls
- A/B grade: close to new condition or minor cosmetic flaws.
- B/C grade: scuff marks or discoloration, but no damage that affects play.
- Practice balls: too worn for play, but good for practicing chips and short game.

Five reasons to choose used golf balls
- Price: up to 55% cheaper than the new price. Why pay full price for balls that will be lost anyway?
- Performance: the same ball flight and playability as a new ball.
- Less pressure: you do not need to worry about losing an expensive ball and can focus on the game.
- Variety: with mix packs you can test several models affordably and find the one that suits you.
- Environment: a golf ball can take hundreds of years to break down in nature. Every reused ball reduces the need for new ones.
Same ball, different price
Recycled golf balls are circular economy in practice. Manufacturing new balls requires raw materials and energy. A ball that gets a second life saves both, and you get the same quality at a fraction of the price.
Summary
Used golf balls are affordable, sustainable, and perform like new, as long as they are sorted. Find your new favorites among our golf balls, or get help from the golf ball guide.
